Study Abroad Ambassadors are study abroad alumni who are excited to share the value and impact of their experiences. Ambassadors serve as a student representative of the UNT Study Abroad Office, promote study abroad across the UNT campus and assist prospective students in their decision to study abroad by answering their initial questions.

ambassadors 2015The UNT Study Abroad Office is seeking student volunteers to serve as Study Abroad Ambassadors (SAAs). As an Ambassador you will actively build upon your past study abroad experience and gain valuable leadership experience. You will obtain hands-on training in the growing field of International Education, while enhancing your public speaking skills, which will be appropriate for noting on your resume. Most importantly, you will have the opportunity to share your personal experiences and inspire others to broaden their horizons.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible to apply to and participate students must:
  • Be a currently enrolled UNT student;
  • Be in good academic and conduct standing at UNT;
  • Have previously participated in a UNT approved study abroad program;
  • Be able to commit to at least one hour of service per month; and
  • Be able to attend scheduled training sessions and meetings

Application Deadlines

This is the deadline to apply to the UNT Study Abroad Office to be selected and nominated as an exchange student. 
  • Fall Application Deadline: August 1st
  • Spring Application Deadline: January 11th
