UNT-I Horizontal Bar Logo

UNT is excited that you are considering to offer an innovative and academically challenging experience abroad!  Developing a course taught abroad is a university-wide, labor of love where we are all eager to help you be successful. Study abroad is in line with university goals of creating global citizens who are prepared for the workplace.

Visit the proposal application page for more information on the process and to view the Faculty Led Program Handbook and timeline. In addition, the Faculty Led Program Proposal presentation provides guidance on developing a strong proposal.

To begin the process, contact Faculty Led Program Coordinator Kate Jordan to schedule a program development consultation.

What is a Faculty Led Course?

The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (19 Tex. Admin. Code § 4.262 (18, 31)) defines a course taught abroad as one offered for academic credit where 51% or more of the instruction takes place outside of the U.S. If the course will be taught primarily on campus, please refer to our International Field Trip Registration webpage.

Ready to Submit a Proposal?

Those interested in submitting a proposal to teach a course abroad should read the faculty leader handbook and schedule a consultation with the Faculty Led Program Coordinator prior to starting the process.  Please note that only the primary faculty leader should submit the proposal: Application Page.
